Greetings! You wanna thread out something? This is the area to do it in.
I am generally pretty open. Seriously. If you just wanna leave a short: I was interested in doing scenario a; are you up for it?
Sure! Let's discuss where you want the thread to go or we can just wing it.
AUs, OCs, cross-canon, whatever you want to play is available. I will RP with anyone. Wanna play in a different universe altogether? I am okay with that too. I am flexible. If I don't know the canon I'll let you know. I don't mind being canonblind.
Update: IP addressing is turned off now.

Finn truly had been trying to keep out of trouble. Trouble just magically found them during that whole run. Poe knew what it was like to be grounded for a long time. It wasn't fun and now Finn would stay on the ground until properly healed.
Poe went back to his duties after a few short days. He would always hangout with Finn when the other was around. There were moments that he couldn't help but flirt with Finn. He made it super easy to do it too.
The pilot meant that Finn could stop by whenever. Poe always wondered if he would. Tonight he sat on his bed having a small conversation with BB-8. The astromech always told him things and he didn't mind talking to the droid. It was fun on nights when he couldn't sleep.
When the knock came it surprised him at first. Poe didn't really care what his living quarter looked like either. The count would get to about five when the door finally opens fully. Poe's lips pull into a smile at seeing Finn.]
You're not lost are you?
no subject
[But tonight was not one of the better nights. Sure, he had eaten dinner with the group of them tonight, and he had gone off to his quarters to read up on a bit more New Republic sided history (he was finding that the First Order history the had drilled into their heads was kind of... different). But that too wasn't helping to put him to sleep. Thus the walk.]
[The walk that lead him to standing outside the pilots door, counting in his head to himself. One. This is stupid. Two. I should go. Three. It's late. Four. Stepping back now. Fiv-shit. He had actually taken a single step back when the door opened, looking up to see the Pilot standing there, asking if he was lost.]
[Finn chuckled a... seriously, was that a nervous laugh? A small chuckle, shaking his head.] Naw, not lost. I was... just out for a walk. Couldn't sleep. Found myself, uh, passing by? [He shrugged and looked down the hall, like he knows it's a bad idea to bother the other this late.] I didn't realize how late it was until a moment ago. [He looked back and saw the smile on the others face, making him smile as well. That smile. Finn was doomed.]
no subject
It truly was a great sight to see Finn outside his door. He couldn't help but give a wide grin that made his eyes turn a little glossy out of excitement. Even if it was late; Finn was truly lucky that he hadn't turned in for the night. But he was awake, that was all that mattered.]
A walk, this late at night? Well, it isn't such a bad idea. Usually on these kinds of nights I find myself talking to Beebee-Ate until I pass out. I wouldn't mind having different company. [Especially a friend, he didn't mind his astromech but sometimes he needed human contact too. A human connection was needed and he had a few friends for that.]
[The pilot moves away from the door frame to let Finn enter.] Come inside... unless you wanted to venture somewhere else.
no subject
[Too quiet, for some reason. There was less going on and Troopers weren't allowed to be too loud and rambunctious, but this place felt silent sometimes. Maybe it was just having a room of his own for the first time. No breathing from others, no heartbeats. He always felt like he could feel the others in the room, and now there was nothing.]
Yeah. A walk this late. I don't know. I couldn't sleep. It's too... [he waved a hand to the side, as if trying to wave his lame reason away.] Too quiet in my room.
[When Poe moved back for him to come in, asking him in or venture else where? Finn gave him a look that was unsure at first.]
Yeah? I mean, are you sure? I don't... want to keep you up. Or wake you. I didn't wake you, did I? [He asked, though he found himself coming in anyhow. Maybe.... maybe for just a moment.]
no subject
[The silent could drive anyone nuts. Poe even felt those nights which is probably why he spoke to BB-8.]
Too quiet? Rooms are normally quiet. Ah. [He did remember the Star Destroyer and how there were always Stormtroopers around. It was noisy too.] I guess you wouldn't be used to the silent.
[A chuckle came as the other started asking questions. Of course it was alright. If he didn't want company he would have not answered the door or if it wasn't Finn he might have gotten slightly disappointed.]
No. I was already awake. [He gestures over to the astromech that beeps in greetings before rolling on out of the room once Finn is in. Poe gives a tiny shrug while closing the door shortly after.] I wasn't really doing much.
no subject
[Still, it had hit him that the silence was making it hard to sleep. When he came in and BB-8 started out, he gave his greeting to him as he left, feeling badly that he had showed up and the droid felt the need to leave.]
Rooms aren't normally quiet to me. I'm used to several other people bunked in a small space, or the beep of machines on a ship. Never had a room of my own before. It doesn't bother you? Absolute silence? I can hear everything going on in the hall outside because of it. Foot steps of people walking by, the tweet of a droid.
[He shook his head, frowning at it. It felt like he was hypersensitive over the sounds with nothing in the room making sounds with him (or maybe there was more too it that he didn't understand). As dumb as that seemed, he kept thinking someone was going to sneak in. Someone was going to attack. Traitor. Someone might, right? And every time he had to tell himself how incredibly stupid that was, and to go to sleep.]
[This evening 'go to sleep' got him nowhere. Or more honestly, it got here here, standing in the pilots room complaining like a child. Poe hadn't been asleep though, so that helped.]
Like I said, I was just... walking. Clearing my mind. I wont stay long. Promise. [he said, giving the other a smile now. He still felt bad for disturbing the other, but somewhere inside he was kind of glad for it, because any time he saw Poe he felt... better.]
no subject
[Poe could adjust to living situations changing. It might be rough the first few days or week but it would get better. He hoped that Finn would be able to relax and find home. There would be no one coming and demanding the traitor to come out. If he didn't really feel safe, Poe would make sure he did. He didn't really mind that the other was here complaining. At least they were conversing and he would be able to figure out what Finn might need.]
You can stay for as long as needed. I don't know if I'll actually sleep right away. [He sits down on the bed looking up at Finn.] Truly; this is better than being up in a tower in a maze. We can converse and not have to worry about bad things happening.
no subject
I'm settling. I think. It's just small things. And I am reading. History, from the New Republic side of things. Which is odd and weird but makes more sense then what I was taught. [Still a bit pacey, he frowns as he spoke] Like, did you know, in the First Order, The Emperor Palpatine is considered a good man cut down in his prime, in the middle of his project that would have brought balance to the galaxy? That he and the Lord Vader were great men, slaughtered by the Jedi?
[He gave an awkward laugh at that, looking at Poe with a mild mix of lost annoyance] I get here, and everything else makes sense. It's all different, but it seems more... accurate. Real. I'm still trying to figure out how anyone believed that something called a Death Star or a Starkiller Base was a good thing. [He snorted, running a hand over his face, and turned to sit, on the corner edge of the others bed, leaning forward on his knees and frowning at the ground.] I was apart of that.
[He huffed a small dry laugh a moment later, shaking his head.] So yeah, I've been reading. But... I suppose you are right about one thing. This is better then the tower in the maze. The silence there was a bit too much for a while too. But at least I could hear you breathing. [At least he was able to curl up next to him--no. He didn't need to think about that too.]
[Finn just had too many thoughts and not enough distractions.]
no subject
I'm not sure why anyone would build something such as those two things. They bring distraction with them. Blowing up planets and moons. It's scary. Did you really know that's what you were doing? Did you really want that kind of life? [He glances over at Finn and he puts a hand on his shoulder giving it a gentle squeeze.] Whatever you were apart of. You left that behind. You are here now. There's no judging.
[He laughs a little.] Oh? So, you hearing me breathing, helped you get a few winks of sleep? [There's an even wider smile forming.]
no subject
[Ah, but yes, he sighed, shaking his head.] It's how we were raised. We knew what we were doing because that was how we were raised. Taught that way. Think of it this way, if you were born and raised to believe that your flight suit is blue, and that every color that is like it is blue, but then someone came a round and said it was dark orange? Would you believe them? After all, everyone you know and live around knows it as blue. [The hand on his shoulder felt warm. Comfortable.]
Something broke. I actually thought something was wrong with me, Poe. How twisted is that? I thought I didn't fit in. Then I realized... I don't. And didn't want to. It was like one huge panic attack until we hit Jakku.
[he let out a deep sigh, as if saying it all made him feel a little better at least. And then he chuckled, running a hand over his face and hiding his smile a bit.] Yeah, well, don't read much into it, Dameron. I just happen to like that you were still breathing.
[Yeah, that's his story]
no subject
It makes sense when you put it that way. If you are born and raised one way, made to think that way too you wouldn't believe anyone. Somehow you broke yourself out of it. Managed to get yourself off the Star Destroyer too and ran from them. They wouldn't come here unless they knew where to look. There's no running now. Perhaps Jakku helped you in some kind of way. Maybe it was the place that needed to save you so that you can do what you need to do. I know that you didn't want to go back there for your own reasons. You got caught up in my mess with getting the map back here. It's still gonna be a great story to tell when you're ready.
[Poe elbows Finn in his side before sitting back on the bed, his back against the wall as he looks at the other; mostly staring at his back.] You come in here saying you can't sleep because you are used to hearing things. You then say that you could hear my breathing back in that maze. I could have offered an easy solution to help you sleep. [There's a small smirk on his face though. It's probably a trap Finn.]
I think we've already been through the we're alive stage.
no subject
[When the other talked about getting off the star destroyer, and no running now, he just nodded a few times, rubbing at his neck and sighing.] It's not that great a story to tell. [He said softly, turning a bit to look back at Poe as he leaned back on the wall.]
[And then that comment.]
[That smile.]
[That damn smile. It always managed to get his attention instantly. It was no doubt a trap, but he couldn't help but ask.] Could have offered? [A tone that said 'what could you have offered?' to go with the dubious raised brow.]
[There was a faint smile on his lips though at the last part] Yes, well... I happen to like that stage.
no subject
[He shakes his head a bit at that.] You may think that. I get to tell people that a stormtrooper got me off the Star Destroyer. [Poe would have still taken his chance with this one. If he hadn't... he may have never got out of the Star Destroyer. He may have even died on Jakku instead of surviving. Things could have gone a lot more different.]
[And there's the innocent question that Poe wanted to hear.] You could sleep here. It's a tiny space but at least then you would be able to sleep.
I do too, buddy. I hope it stays that way.
no subject
[And he will get over all the small things. Slowly. He's shown a lot of leaps and bounds as it is. After all, these people are exactly what he was trained to kill and dislike, and yet he liked everything about them.]
Yeah, well, I'll let you go about telling the stories then. [He wasn't much of a story teller anyhow. He'd leave that to the charming one that everyone loved.]
[And then that answer. About sleeping here. Finn was sure his cheeks darkened at that. Both brows shot up as a well, looking back at the other.]
Because I haven't already intruded enough? [though the idea was tempting, but mostly because he wanted to be around the other more. He's still figuring out why, really.]
no subject
Me? Are you sure you want me to tell them? I could tell them how I saw you. [There was something there in Finn that he could trust. Poe didn't really what to dwell on the what ifs.]
[He leans a little forward staring right at Finn with a wide grin.] Who said you were intruding? Those words never left my mouth.
no subject
[So, not at all sitting on his hands and doing nothing, but he still felt like he had a lot of free time while 'recovering']
Maybe you're right. [He said coolly, turning to sit on the bed sideways, one leg resting on the bed now. A small smile on his face] If you tell them how it is you'll some how build me up oddly and not actually tell about the coward who was sweating up a storm as he tried to hijack the Resistance's best pilot for his own.
[He bit his lip unconsciously though, as Poe was in his face with that grin. Damn it, Dameron... teasing or not, did he know what that grin did to people?] I showed up uninvited. That's an intrusion, Dameron. [He said as coolly as he could manage, trying not to actually grin back at the man.]
no subject
I think I will tell them that I thought you were taking me to Kylo Ren. I thought I was truly a goner at that point Finn. Until you asked me your question. [He grins.] I can tell them that you were nervous about what you were doing. It was crazy. You had to keep yourself calm.
[Poe probably knows what it does. He is probably grinning on purpose at this very moment.] You knocked. I invited you in. I don't consider that an intrusion at all. If you came in here without knocking and flung open the door... that's intruding. [The pilot scoots a bit forward to close the slight gap between them.]
no subject
[It's the grins. The smiles. He know it has to be. They put him at ease.]
I suppose, this time, you did invite me in. [He did give in to that much. He also noticed Poe got closer. That thing with his chest happened again, tightening the way it did when Poe flirted with him and he wasn't quite sure how to take it.] And... invited me to sleep over. [he said with a curious look on his face, and a slight smile coming back. How does he know when this man is serious and not just being... charming?]
no subject
I did. I could have not answered the door. I did tell you to come by whenever. Why take that back? [Poe knew that he could easily show the other he was being serious. He just didn't know how the other would react. Would he want it? Even if not, at least he would know.] I was being serious about that. You were talking about how you liked my breathing. Maybe you could hear something else.
[Like... his heart beat, maybe? If Finn could hear it now it would be pounding a little heavier. Even though he may seem calm on the surface, his own emotions were there too, slowly burning in the pit of his stomach.]
no subject
[Even if right now he wasn't so sure on himself.]
You... did say when ever. I just... didn't intend to intrude this late--ah, not, intrude. [he corrected before Poe could. Speaking about breathing, he still was, right? Ah, yes, good. Still breathing, still talking. Poe was close enough that he thought he could almost feel the others breath.]
Hear... something else. [He wasn't questioning, more like repeating it softly, as if thinking about it. Thoughtlessly biting the inside of his lip, he glanced up to the other, not realizing he too was kind of leaning nearer.] If you're... serious. Maybe I wouldn't... mind taking you up on that offer. I can... try not to be in the way.
no subject
[He's really glad that Finn was opening up a little at a time. Being more confident in the person he was now and going to be.]
Yeah, I never put a time frame on it. It's nice that you did come by. I didn't know that you'll actually come. [It was the truth. After he had invited Finn; he thought it might have been for not. When the other showed up tonight, it was a nice change of pace. Poe was dangerously close to him; he could be feeling his breath.]
[The pilot gives a soft laugh as he leans his head in more and he presses his forehead against Finn's. His eyes stare into the other's.] Why do you think you'll be in the way? I don't think you are.
no subject
[He's the first person who seemed to be okay with him. Who... humanized him. That was a first for him. Being human.]
I wasn't sure if you were just being polite. [He said truthfully. Close, so close. He felt his heart racing as if he just got out of a really tough simulator fight. It was as the others forehead touched his that he felt as if he'd been shocked. Electricity running down his back. Poe might even have felt him shiver a moment, but he didn't pull away.]
I... don't know. [he said to why he thought he'd be in the way. he said it on a breath, finding he wanted to be closer. He liked the feel of the other, the warmth from him. Forehead to forehead, so close.] What... are you doing to me? [He asked on a whisper, because he felt like the other was drawing him in some how. His nose bumped the others on mistake, eyes closing and wanting what ever it was that Poe was doing, to just happen. Because clearly this was all Poe's doing.]
no subject
[Poe really didn't understand why everyone had to be numbered to be uniformed. It was strange to even hear what Finn said when he told him his name. The other accepted the name Finn, he could have picked anything else after that. Yet, the name stuck around for the ex-trooper.]
We're friends. Friends visit each other in the late night hours. [Sometimes those friends seek out more than just friendly conversation at times. They've done that a lot on base when they happened to walk into each other. They never really had a private moment like this. It was... exciting, thrilling in a way. He could feel that small shiver but he didn't pull away.]
Making you feel. [It was the only answer he could really come up with what he was doing to him. Poe could have been pulling him in, slowly hinting for more. Yet, even the pilot held himself back a little, the bumping of the nose was more than enough for him. Poe only had to tilt his head a bit, before closing that last bit of distance. His own eyes closing as his lips met and pressed softly against Finn's. There really was no turning back now.]
no subject
[As for his name, why would he have changed it? It was given to him and he liked it. Others picked up nicknames but he never had. This... felt like a real name. That was given to him. That made it better.]
I learn something new every day. [He said softly to friends visit each other in the late night hours. It had been a lot of chance meetings or run-ins. Finn generally knew where to find him in the hanger, of catching the other at a table in the mess hall. They were always around pilots, or soldiers, or techs, or anything else around on base. This was much more private.]
[The comment though. That couldn't be more true, and after he said it, it kind of clicked just how true that was. Finn hadn't really... had any kind of contact like this when with the First Order. He knew some snuck off for things, but it never lasted long, it was never really a thought, and yet here he was taking in the closeness of the person he considered his best friend, absorbing the warmth and feelings he could feel from the other.]
[It felt as if his heart had stopped when he felt Poe's lips to his own, light and kind of sweet. A first kiss, really. Embarrassingly enough. One he found himself very willingly leaning into on instinct.]
no subject
[Nicknames still hold a special meaning to some. It was still a name and not a number. Who isn't to say they felt the need to break away but doubted certain decisions. Finn could still have changed his name when he ran into others... but he didn't. Poe could see that he was accepting others treating him as if he were human. He was. Finn was human to Poe.]
You'll keep learning things along the way. It's a different kind of trial and error. [Hopefully Finn will be able to make the good kinds and be able to figure out what works for him.]
[The closeness was good. The warmth that came was almost intoixcating. Finn was a sweet addiction with him finding out his own emotions. Poe couldn't help but show him other ways. He wasn't even sure if Finn would return those simple gestures either. The ex-trooper could easily shove him away and run for it.]
[That's not what happened though. He could feel the other leaning back into it. It made his heart flutter against his chest. It made him be more confident in taking this leap. Poe willingly firmly pressed back. A hand lands on his shoulder before circling around to the back of Finn's neck slowly. He pulls his lips away after a few more moments but he leaves just a few inches apart.]
